For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

So simple... yet why do I have such a hard time living this out. Giving when it hurts... when it really cost me something is so hard for me. My rights, my pride, my recognition, my hard work, my time, my money, my respect, my comfort, my emotion, my status, my looks, my house, my car, my, my, myself just always gets in the way. And to think that Jesus gave His wealth, His Glory, His rights, His authority, His House, His Relationship with His father, His time, His sweat, His Blood, His tears and ultimately HIMSELF.... for me.

Lord, please help me to live like Jesus. Lord help me to voluntarily, lovingly give up myself for you and for your people. Help me to see that when I become poor and someone else becomes rich, then I am looking more like your beautiful son Jesus.
