Faith

Word of the Day

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

There is nothing more I can add to what already has been written about and what has been said about Hebrews 11 which is known as the Hall of Faith chapter. It’s really hard to imagine some of the difficulties; actually they were pretty much down right impossible situations, which the people encountered in their lives. When reading chapter 11, it doesn’t take long to realize that the difficult circumstances is not the spotlight. The main theme is the strong faith of the people. They demonstrated a fresh conviction that they would follow the Lord no matter what. Whether they were facing certain death, in jail, moving to an unknown land or whatever or wherever they were, the “bottom line” to them was being obedient to God. What is your “bottom line?” Do you spend your moments looking only at your circumstance or is your priority to be obedient to the only true and living God?

Father whatever circumstance I find myself; please help me to live my life in obedience to You.

Dedicated to Prayer,
