Grit Your Teeth and Pray for the Jerk

LoveGodLoveOthers

Luke 6:27-28 "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you "

Lets keep this short and practical:

*Who can you think of right now that hates you or at least strongly dislikes you?
(remember, Jesus promised the world will hate you because of Him...so someone out there doesn't like you if you're doing what you are supposed to)

*Right now, right where you are and throughout the day, pray for them. Not that God helps the screwed up jerk but that God blesses them, that God saves them (if they do not know Jesus as savior), that their day goes well, that God blesses their relationships, ect.

*Now pray that God shows you how you can " do good " to them.
Note: If any interaction with you sends them into a rage, you probably won't be doing good to them. In fact, you probably need to do something for them that you know you won't get any credit for anyway.

A lot of people struggle in knowing what God's will is...well, while you're praying about whether to move, to get a new job, a new relationship, ect. ...be obediant to God in what you do know. Love the haters.
