In today's world, we use the word "enough" maybe more than you realize and it usually has to do with our comfort or satisfaction level. Did you get enough sleep? Did you get enough to eat? Is it cool enough in here for you? I don't make enough money....

How easily I forget that Jesus in my life is ENOUGH for all those situations and more. That God's love for me is more than enough. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world (enough) that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". (emphasis mine) God loves us enough to send his only perfect Son to die a horrible death so that we can live a long time (not enough) in a pretty nice place (not enough)? You know I'm wrong.... So that we can live forever in paradise with Him. (wow, that's enough!)

Today when you wake up still tired, when the coffee is too cool, when the kids aren't very good, when the traffic is bad (shall I go on?) Grab all those thoughts, stuff them aside and shout "Jesus is Enough". God loved me first so that I can love others now!.

Father, help me today each moment to stop worrying about my comfort and satisfaction and instead fill me with the joy of your love and the gift of your son Jesus. Give me opportunities to share your love and your light with the people around me who see me full of your spirit and fully satisfied with what I have and who I am.
