Pray - Make Plans - Pray

Pray

" There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord". (Proverbs 21:30)

We sure are busy creatures. Last night my kids and I picked up my wife at the airport around 8:30 PM after she was out of state for work for a couple days. We drove home happy to be together, but everyone very tired after a long day of school, work, and play. "Tomorrow is very busy" I said as we talked about our plans of a full day of running around, errands and such. I would bet the same conversation was happening in homes and cars all over this country.

This morning when I read the verse above it was a good reminder that while we make plans and fill up our lives with "stuff" to do, God has ordained, planned, our lives from before we were born. We can plan all day, but He will orchestrate even our daily activities for our good and His glory.

So what? You can run around busy and stressed and "fight" against His plans, or you can follow the pray, make plans, pray formula. Pray that you would be sensitive to His Spirit in you to hear what God wants for your life. Make your plans with that in mind, serving the needs of others. Pray again that what you have arraigned glorifies Him and follows His plan. Then, enjoy, knowing you are in your Father's arms!

Hope you have a somewhat restful weekend....
