Tonight, Thursday Night, the Young Adults had their weekly bible study / community group at Paradise Bakery. Such an awesome time together in God's word, in fellowship, in breaking of bread and prayer. We talked about God's amazing grace and asked if God's grace is amazing anymore in our own lives. At the end of our time together, a young college student sitting at a different table approached us and said she over heard our convesation and asked if we would prayer for her and her two friends who were with her, because tomorrow was their first exam for the nursing progam they are enrolled in at GCU. So we said sure, as she began to walk away, one of the people in our group asked if we could pray for them right now, she said yes. So all three of them came over to the table and we prayed for them in a group. What an awsome opportunity it was. As we left the building and a couple of us were standing outside talking, a seperate lady walked by us and asked if we would pray for her too. She said she was sleeping in her car tonight and proceeded to walk away. Wow, was my hearts expression as it broke for this lady. We stopped and decided to do something for this lady but she was not willing to accept anything or really even talk at that time. So as she drove away, we decided to pray for her in the parking lot.
Everywhere we turn, people are broken and need Jesus and tonight was a great reminder for me of what life is about. It's about knowing Jesus and making Him known! This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent. What else matters?
