Word of the Day: 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Walk with Jesus

"You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia." 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Does my life reflect a person who is a follower of Jesus? Have you ever asked yourself that question? It can be a little uncomfortable because that means I must consider, and be honest with myself about how I'm doing at living out what Scripture says. Our walk as followers of Jesus must match our talk. That's what Paul was telling the Thessalonian Christians that they were living their lives as believers should. Paul knew what he was talking about because he was great example to the Christians in Thessalonica. After watching and listening to Paul, they became examples to those in Macedonia and Achaia. We all have opportunities to be examples to people near us and may not think about it as much as we should. Our lives must reflect Jesus to all those living around us, whether it be in our marriages, as parents, or as employees......all the relationships around us.

O God please cause my life to be an example so that when they see me they recognize me "…as having been with Jesus." Acts 4:13
