Word of the Day: 2 Samuel 23:5

Word of the Day

“For does not my house stand so with God?
For he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things
and secure. For will he not cause to prosper all my help and my desire?
2 Samuel 23:5

Exactly 1 year ago, the Lord used this verse to speak clearly to me about a ministry situation that I was wrestling through. Through some "intense fellowship" with my wife, the Lord helped me understand that I was not ready for it. I was praying through my frustration thoughts and the Lord really smacked me upside the head with this verse... and then came total peace! What a blessing that the Lord will cause to prosper all my "help" ie my wife, and my "desire." It was in that very moment that I was full of genuine thanksgiving for the leading / confirmation of His Word. Oneness with my wife in the midst of serving Him is something that I have so much room for improvement.

1 year later I read this and I am so thankfully reminded of his amazing grace. He has given me a passion and contentment for where I am at right now. The Lord still has some things on my heart, but I am prayerfully pursuing His lead as he continues to equip / lead me where I am at.

Lord, thank your for your spoken Word. Thank you that you are so real, tangible & interactive. I pray that the Joy of my salvation and your sanctifying work in me would be so exciting, that I couldn't help but to speak of it by the name of Jesus.
