Word of the Day: Luke 18:38-40a

Word of the Day

"And he cried out 'Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!'
And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent.
But he cried out all the more, 'Son of David, have mercy on me!'
And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought to him."
Luke 18:38-40a

There are so many times that I feel distant from the Lord. Times where I feel like I am on the side of the road and I am letting him pass me by. Often times, I allow the surrounding crowd to silence me. I know that I need to be diligent to be in the Lords presence and pursue relationship to him, but I also need to cry out to him like a blind beggar and ASK him to command me to be brought into his presence.

"Lord, I cry out to you with a loud voice, Jesus Son of David, have mercy on me! Lord command me to be brought into your presence so that you may give me sight. Please cause the position of my heart to be that of a blind beggar. Lord, I bring you nothing more than a broken heart as I beg for your power to be made known in me."
