"To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice."
Proverbs 21:3

I desire to be pleasing to the Lord. I desire to be useful to Him! That desire comes from HIS work of salvation in me. He is the author and perfecter of my faith (Heb 12:2). I know I can never pay him back the debt that he covered for me. I just want to show him my love and thankfulness that I desire to give my very life back to him. In the midst of my desire to give back to the Lord, its so easy how I can make it about me, what I'm doing and how important my plan is (for the Lord of course).

"Lord, help me see that I must always do righteousness and justice in the midst of my desire to give my life to you. It is from you, it is to you and it is only through you that I can live this life. Lord I pray that you would constantly reveal my motives and please guard me from human religion. I desire to bring you sacrifice with a broken heart, doing righteousness and justice all at the same time. Lord, do this miracle in me as it is impossible in my own strength!"
