Word of the Day: Psalm 119:46
Psalm 119:46
"I will also speak of Your testimonies before kings and shall not be ashamed."
I was attending a meeting with about 15 of my contemporaries from around the country. We were sitting at tables formed in the shape of a horseshoe. During one of our breaks and as everyone was talking with each other, a person from across the room asked me what my secret was for staying calm. It seemed the room became instantaneously silent to the point of being able to hear a pin drop. At first I was hesitant, but was able to share about my trust in God. It was only a matter of a few minutes and wasn't anything too profound, but it sure felt good to be able to share. It made me think of Peter and what he said in 1 Peter 3:15 "...be ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you....", or as David put it in Psalm 119 "...speak...and not be ashamed."
O My Lord Jesus, please cause me to be ready to share You, the hope that is in me, wherever or whenever anyone asks me.
