Word of the Day: Psalm 150:1

Word of the Day

Psalm 150:1

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty expanse.

Praise the Lord

I chuckle ... no, I really laugh ... every time I read Psalm 150 (the last in the Psalter).

Thirteen times in 6 short verses it says,"Praise the Lord, Praise God or Praise Him".Praising God must be important. To me, praising the Lord means to prize Him and rave about Him as the only One worthy of glory and honor.

We are told to praise Him in the Temple and in His mighty expanse ... in other words, everywhere. We are to praise His mighty deeds ... like His acts of power as we enjoy His grace, forgiveness and salvation. Who is to praise? Everything that has breath.

All this praising has instruments to accompany the singing (praising). I wonder, do you suppose each time an instrument is named it joins in until; at the end, a tremendously loud sound is heard for miles. Now, that's praise.

I think I like this "traditional" music.

Praise the Lord.

Blessings,

Tony
