Word of the Day: Psalm 30:2
Psalm 30:2
O LORD, my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed Me.
Here's to Your Health
How many people do you know that seem to take good health for granted? What happens when illness strikes? I am like David. I CRY out to God. Not only for myself, but for my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren ... friends and neighbors ... the list goes on. Why? Because God is the healer.
In verse 3 of this Psalm David writes, "O LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit." David has had a near death experience which helps me understand the intensity of his prayer in verse 1.
Why is it that the intensity of my prayer corresponds to the intensity of the illness situation? Does your prayer life follow my pattern?
Perhaps the more important question is, "Am I praising God with the same intensity when He answers my prayers with His healing power?"
Am I praising God for my daily good health? If not, why not?
Here's to your health!
Blessings,
Tony
